Birthday Boy!

When we went up to Kansas City to get our new van, we had an early birthday celebration for Trusten who will be 6 years old very soon!!!

Trusten's "MooMaw and PaPa" always like to spoil the boys like crazy, so first we went to the "Dinosaur Restaurant" (aka T. Rex)!  This is one of the boys favorite places, we went there for Brahm's 3rd birthday...

It's such a fun place because there is SO much to look at and listen to!
Every 30 minutes there is a "Meteor Shower" where the lights flash, the dinosaurs roar, and other fun, crazy stuff like that!!
Samuel was quite distracted by all the dinosaurs that were so close to us...
Liberty was completely unaffected by any of it!  :)
Then after we finished our dinner, Papa had a big surprise for Trusten...

The next day, they bought Trusten a cake...
So we celebrated with cake, ice cream, cousins...oh and presents!

A Telescope!!!
This picture doesn't quite capture it,
but he was SO excited to get a telescope!!!
Legos!!!
Clothes!!!
And the sweet fellowship of cousins and "Great MooMaw"!
And we still have another celebration yet to come with his "Nena And Papa"!

***I wanted to post some "through the years" pictures, but we don't have a scanner anymore, so these I've already had scanned will have to do...

Trusten just a few days old...
(to hear about his birth story, click HERE)

Trusten 1.5 years old, meeting his new little brother...

Trusten 3 years old, with another new little brother...

Trusten's 4th Birthday...

Trusten's 5th Birthday...
So Happy Birthday Week, my sweet 6 year old little man!!!

Happy Birthday, Trusten! It's a good thing you all visited the Creation Museum so you can share lots of great truths when you visit a restaurant like that! :)

Happy 6th Birthday to Trusten!! How I love all the similarities we have going, lol! Arthur will be 6 in just over 3 weeks, and OH how he would love that restaurant! He is dinosaur-CRAZED these days! He also would be very excited about a telescope for a birthday present. He weighed just 2oz more than Trusten did at birth and measured exactly the same as him in length. Sweet sweet biggest brothers! I hope your biggest little man has a special day!

So my sweet friend and kindred spirit, I have been meaning to comment on this post of yours but time just hasn't been my friend lately. It brought tears to my eyes the day I read it thinking back to the day Mr. Trusten was born. I think because I literally walked through all of it with you (you all allowing the Lord to decide when to have children, to you becoming pregnant, then your struggles with morning sickness, learning you were going to name Trusten, Trusten Charles, keeping you company while Ryan went to Jamaica, etc.)
Anyway, but nothing stands out in my mind as much as the night you went into labor. I can still remember sitting on the couch watching "Without a Trace" with my parents when your sister called me. I remember how excited I felt for you and then how fun it was sitting there with your family (and your Grandma's ENORMOUS bag of snacks) waiting for your Doula to give us news. I can still remember Ryan's face too when he told us that he was a dad...but it doesn't beat your face Missy. Walking in that room and seeing you hold your sweet baby boy...well let's just say it was one of the most beautiful moments of my whole life. You had never looked more beautiful as you did in that moment.
Even though your sweet boy doesn't remember that day and probably has hard time even remembering who I am all the way here in Guatemala, I still feel so privileged to be his Godmother and to have been able to share in the day he was born! I can't believe that was six years ago though! Time sure flies!
So that the others don't feel left out, let them know that I still remember exactly what i was doing when they were born as well...down the street at my cousin's house when Braum was born (that was like the fastest labor ever!) and on my honeymoon when you called about Samuel. I still remember us trying to rush back so I could be there, but we didn't make it in time. I wish I could have held sweet Liberty when she was born as well as well as this little one on the way, but I love them just as dearly.
Okay so now this was like the longest comment to a post ever!
I love you and thank you SOOO much for your sweet note to my last post. It made me cry and made me miss you and your blue couch! I love you sister and friend and kindred spirit!
