I answered, "Oh no, babe. I don't feel a thing...I just had to go to the bathroom." and we both feel back asleep.
One hour later, I woke up with strong, consistent contractions and woke Ryan, and told him, "It's time!"
He said, "oh, let me set you up by yourself in the bed so you can just relax and rest..."
But I interuppted, "No! We've gotta go NOW!"
We called our midwife to meet us at the Birth Inn and less than 3 hours later, Liberty Joy was born!

What a year! I love my sweet baby girl! I can't imagine my life without her! She is a blessing and a treasure!

My oldest son was born on July 4th, too! (He's 31 yrs old. now.) That mornning after his birth, I actually heard fireworks going off outdoors later in my hospital room as I was holding him.

Love to read birth stories...ours were pretty fast too...first daughter was 2 hours, 2nd daughter was 40 minutes and our son was 6 minutes after they broke my water....now they are all grown up....time goes by so quickly!
My hubby's younger sister was born on July 4th too and when she was little, she thought that the fireworks were done for her birthday :o)
